It all starts with the purchase of our materials. Because we want to waste as little as possible, we buy exactly enough materials for the number of members who receive boxer shorts. This means that there is little residual waste and minimum stock. The boxer shorts are then printed, cut, sewn and packaged in our own factory. This in turn saves on interim transport.

Our factory is located in China and is continuously working on improving and making the production process more sustainable. In addition, they have a number of quality certificates such as a BSCI Certificate. This certificate guarantees, among other things, good working conditions and human rights for the staff.

The boxer shorts that are produced still have to come to the Netherlands, which is convenient. Until 2018, a shipment was transported by plane. Nowadays, a complete delivery travels in one go by container ship to the port of Rotterdam. It takes a bit longer, but it produces less pollution.

Until October 2018, our packaging consisted of a cardboard box surrounded by a plastic bag. At the end of 2018, we changed this to only plastic packaging.

We want your boxer shorts to arrive in the mailbox neat, dry and undamaged, so this material is (so far) most suitable. You can lend a hand by recycling it with the plastic waste. In Germany we are registered with Stiftung Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister and the Duales System.

It can sometimes happen that there is a production error in a pair of boxer shorts. We always ask members to send them back to us. This way, we collect all faulty boxer shorts and make sure they are recycled in collaboration with Philtex. This gives your boxer shorts a new life and reduces the need for new raw materials.
